This house has been in my family for a very long time. Here I spent my childhood, and adolescence, enjoying most of my time in the large garden, playing, dreaming and listening to the birds singing.
The present garden has been designed _and is still looked after- by a skilled local flower specialist, who tried to reproduce the garden I used to know when I was a child. We collaborated to replant some species which used to grow in the past in order to bring back beautiful memories – such as the fragrance of jasmine and different types of roses, and as I love those natural fragrances, we put on purpose the famous roses from Bulgaria whose fragrance is well known. Considering the fact that this land is covered with olive trees which sometimes are hundreds of years old, I thought I had to plant some of these symbolic and beautiful trees also in my garden.
